Hi, I’m Randy Brown.

WordPress Expert    |   Divi Specialist |   Industrial Engineer|   Content Strategist   |   Pastor   |   Guitar Enthusiast

I spent 20 years in technical fields before building a content business I genuinely love. That path — electronics technician to industrial engineer to writer to online entrepreneur — is exactly why I can teach WordPress and online business in a way most people can’t.

I started as an electronics technician doing component-level repair on projection TVs, audio systems, and satellite receivers. Factory trained by Mitsubishi, Philips, RCA, Zenith, and others. Then I spent a decade at Denso Manufacturing as an engineering technician and later an industrial engineer — lean manufacturing, AutoCAD, line balancing, standard work, and teaching industrial engineering basics in the classroom.

When I left Denso in 2014, I started a writing business. I’ve written over 1,000 articles for WordPress companies — Elegant Themes, GoDaddy, WP Mayor, and dozens of others. I built BibleBuyingGuide.com to 30,000 monthly readers, wrote for Thomas Nelson and Zondervan, made videos for Zondervan, and designed a Bible that sold out two printings. Denso even brought me back years later as a contract technical writer to consolidate procedure documentation across three of their manufacturing plants.

I’m also a pastor, which means I spend a lot of time teaching and communicating complex ideas to real people. That shapes how I write and teach — clearly, patiently, and with the reader in mind.

Randyabrown.com exists because I want to help people like me — creatives, engineers, tradespeople, ministry workers — who have real expertise and want to build something online with it. I know what it’s like to start with nothing and figure it out one step at a time. That’s what I teach here.

A little more about me

I live in Sweetwater, Tennessee. I’m a pastor, which means teaching and communicating are woven into most of what I do. I play guitar and post about it probably more than I should. I’m an INFJ, which means I do my best work going deep on things I care about rather than skimming across a lot of topics — and that shapes everything about how I approach this site. I’d rather have a small audience that genuinely trusts me than a large one that barely knows I exist.

Want to work together?

I’m available for WordPress consulting, technical writing, and content strategy on a limited basis. If you have a project that’s a good fit, I’d love to hear about it.
